About Us

 

We’re Nick and Casie Hartley, the proprietors of Compass Point Blend. We have made Ocean Springs, MS, our home for the last two years with our four children, but the South is definitely in our blood. We’ve lived in New Orleans and Covington, LA, Mobile, AL, and Orange Beach to Orlando, FL. I am an offshore captain and during our off time our passions include cooking, fishing, disc golf, and all things outdoors.

 

Compass Point Blend began in 2014 when I started making the seafood boil in hopes of reducing the bloat and swelling from high sodium content and fillers while still enjoying my seafood! The trial and error with my friends took time and patience, many different blends, and countless beers, but the proof is in the pudding… err… seasonings and spices!

Our journey started with a simple goal: to create a seafood boil that was easier on the body, without all the sodium and fillers you usually find. After many trials (and a few beers) with our friends right here in the community, we crafted something special—18 all-natural, preservative-free seasonings that don’t compromise on flavor. As a family-run business, Compass Point Blend is more than just what we do; it’s part of who we are. We’re proud to share our blends with you, and we hope they bring the same joy to your meals as they do to ours!
